  • The Signature Senior Experience is a custom portrait session created to celebrate your senior’s personality, style, and story. This is so much more than a quick photo session. It’s a personalized experience designed to help your senior feel confident, comfortable, and truly seen, while creating beautiful images your family will love for years to come.

  • The Signature Senior Experience has a $495 creative fee. This fee reserves your date and covers the planning and creation of your custom senior session.

    A minimum purchase of $1500 is required at your private ordering appointment. Most families invest $2000–$3000+ on their final artwork and image collection.

  • Your creative fee includes everything that goes into designing a meaningful senior session, including:

    • Pre-session consultation and planning

    • Wardrobe and styling guidance

    • Location planning

    • Up to two hours of session time

    • Multiple outfit changes

    • Up to two locations

    • Professional artist retouching

    • A private ordering appointment

  • Digital images are purchased separately unless they are included in a collection or with qualifying artwork.

    Each wall art piece includes its matching digital image, which makes it easy to enjoy your portraits both in your home and online.

  • At your ordering appointment, you’ll get to see your images and choose your favorites. From there, you can select the pieces that fit your family best, including:

    • Wall art

    • Albums

    • Folio boxes

    • Gift prints

    • Digital image collections

  • Most Smith Artisan senior families invest $2000–$3000+ on their finished portraits, artwork, and image collections.

  • The earlier, the better. Summer and fall dates are usually the first to go, and the most popular weeks tend to fill quickly.

    We only accept a limited number of senior sessions each school year, so booking early gives you the best selection of dates.

  • We’ll choose locations based on your senior’s style, personality, and the overall look you want. Sessions can take place in-studio, outdoors, or at carefully selected locations that fit their vibe.

  • Yes. The Signature Senior Experience includes up to two locations, which gives us room for more variety and a more personalized feel.

  • It varies widely based on a number of factors. Most senior sessions last up to two hours, which gives us plenty of time for outfit changes, location variety, and a relaxed experience without feeling rushed. But, just know, we are NOT in a hurry. We’ll take all the time your senior needs.

  • Multiple outfit changes are included. We’ll help you narrow things down so your senior has great variety without overcomplicating the session. We can discuss this at our pre-session consultation.

  • That is completely normal, and honestly, most seniors feel that way at first.

    The good news is they do not have to know what to do. We guide them the entire time with posing, expression, and movement so they can relax and enjoy the experience. One of our favorite things is helping seniors feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely like themselves in front of the camera.

  • Your images will be presented at a private ordering appointment after the session. That’s when you’ll see your portraits for the first time and choose your favorite images, artwork, and collections. Depending on season it normally takes between 2 weeks and a month.
