Senior Portraits for Yearbook
Senior Yearbook sessions at our studio June 16 through June 27th
What to know before your senior session…. please read all of this
We are so excited about the 2026 senior yearbook sessions! Please be sure to read this entire webpage of information before you schedule your appointment. We know it’s a lot, but it’s all very important. We have two weeks blocked for the senior yearbook sessions from June 16 through June 27th (8 am -4 pm only).
There are three parts to your senior session: the casual setting, Tux/Drape and Cap & Gown
What to wear:
Kindly dress in casual attire for the initial part of the session, and you change into the cap & gown and tux & drape later. For gentlemen, a white shirt and a black straight tie will be provided (though you're welcome to bring your own white, button-down, collared shirt and tie. Check with your school about what is allowed or required first, please). Ladies, please wear a bandeau or tank top with concealable straps to wear under your drape. We'll have pearls in various sizes available for you. Smith Artisan will provide the tux and drape as well as the cap and gowns in appropriate school colors.
When you book your senior session, you'll see that we've scheduled seniors every 10 minutes. Your session will take longer, so there might be some overlap with other seniors. Please arrive in your casual outfit ready to be photographed. We are saving the cap and gown photo for last, so if the cap messes up your hair, it won't affect the earlier pictures.
When you arrive, we'll check you into our system and give you an access code to log in to view your photos when they become available (you or your parent must log in before we take your photos).
What to expect at the session:
Welcome to the fun zone! We create a lively atmosphere with music and a relaxed vibe, but rest assured, we approach our work with the utmost professionalism. You’ll be allowed to bring one person into the studio with you, everyone else will need to wait in the lobby (everyone is nervous in front of the camera, the fewer people watching the better).
Here's how the sessions go: start by signing in with your access code and receiving your scan card. Carry this card to each station for scanning, and it conveniently holds your access code too. Take it home so your parents can log in as well. We'll notify each of you when your gallery is ready for viewing.
Begin at the casual station. You can instantly view photos from each station right after they are taken, you will not be allowed to photograph our screens. Move on to on of our dressing rooms to change into your tux or drape for the next session. We’ll have assistants ready to help. Afterward, return to the dressing room for your cap and gown fitting. Please note that taller hairstyles can pose challenges and may make it difficult, or sometimes impossible, to be photographed wearing the graduation cap.
What to expect after the session:
You'll get to see your photos after each station: Casual, Tux and Drape, Cap and Gown. We usually take 3 or 4 pictures at each setting, to give you some options. If something seems off (too light, too dark, etc.), let us know before you order. We can easily make corrections, but it must be done before your purchase, and it won't incur any extra fees.
Print pricing is accessible on your online gallery, showing costs for different sizes and paper styles once you sign in with your access code.
Be mindful of the crop you choose while ordering – what you see during ordering is what will be mailed to you. Ensure the picture looks right before placing your order, as corrections can't be made afterward.
The deadline for print orders is Sept 31, 2025. Prints will be sent to the street address you specify on your online order form. Expect a confirmation email after ordering, and shipping usually takes about 5-7 business days.
We'll have a studio makeup day later in the year, that will not include the casual setting. The sitting fee for this session is $99. This must be completed before the school's yearbook deadlines. Sessions after makeup day are $295.
The studio address is 200 South Rhodes, West Memphis AR 72301 (one block behind Sonic). You can park in the back parking lot or on the curb and come in through the double glass doors on Polk street. We are the first suite on the left (you’ll see the photos on the wall in the waiting area). Please only bring one family member with you, we cannot accept more than one extra person in the studio per senior. I wish we could allow everyone to come to watch your session, but we don’t have that kind of available space. This will be strictly enforced.
